Many ideas, one philosophy
The principle of ArchiMete: “A body immersed in nature receives an emotional and wellness boost equal to the vastness of the wonders that surround it”.
The ArchiMete tourist center was designed with the clear goal of minimizing environmental impact as much as possible in an area that is a true treasure of biodiversity, also thanks to the presence of the Porto Conte Regional Natural Park and the Capo Caccia–Isola Piana Marine Protected Area.
It is a tourist center specialized in active and dynamic tourism. “Archi” stands for archaeology, history and culture, while “Mete” represents destinations and sought-after adventures. The aim is to offer visitors the opportunity to create a “brilliant” holiday, one that fully meets each individual’s expectations.
The tourist center is based in the former guard post and accommodation used by military personnel, particularly the Carabinieri, who served at the former Tramariglio penal colony until the 1940s (see the history of our location).
The eco-friendly philosophy has been applied to both the facilities and the equipment used by the tourist center and the diving operation: for example, the boats are all equipped with latest-generation engines that help protect both the marine and terrestrial environment.
Since 2015, a BAR-KIOSK located in the center of a welcoming garden with a relaxation area has also been open to the public.
ArchiMete is located in the heart of Tramariglio Bay, within two natural reserves, one on land and the other at sea: the Porto Conte Regional Park and the Capo Caccia–Isola Piana Marine Protected Area. An ideal setting to spend your holidays in complete enjoyment and relaxation, fully embracing your passions.
Activities range from scuba diving (the Capo Caccia area is among the most renowned in the world for its extraordinary underwater caves) to snorkeling combined with cliff tours, from kayaking to land trekking. The possibility of renting comfortable inflatable boats also allows you to experience this corner of paradise in a truly personal and authentic way.
